Brigham, son of DonFerdinand (2) and Harriet Maria (Storrs)Brigham, was born June 20, 1873, inSpringfield, Massachusetts. When hewas two years of age he removed with hisparents to Oxford, New Jersey, and thereattended the public schools. In 1885 tneycame to Hartford, Connecticut, and continued his education in thatcity, graduating from the Hartford Pub- 18S. ENCYCLOPEDIA OF BIOGRAPHY lie High School in the class of 1891. Ashort time subsequent to his graduation,Mr. Brigham entered the office of the Na-tional hire Insurance Company as aclerk, continuing- until 1896. In the lat-ter year he became associated with thelocal agency of W. T. Price, and this bus-iness was later purchased by F. F. Small& Company. In 1905 Mr. Brigham wasadmitted a partner of the firm, and hehas attained well deserved success in in-surance circles ; among the business menof the city of Hartford he is held in highesteem for his knowledge and practicalexperience of those matters pertaining toinsurance. Mr. Brigham makes his homein Granby, Connecticut, where he is re-spected as an upright and useful is a member of the South Congrega-tional Church of Granby, and a zealousworker in its interests, being a member ofthe business committee.
