Airman 1st Class Kaitlyn Evans, an 11th Security Forces Squadron patrolman, guides her horse Kobalt after feeding him in Lothian, Maryland. Evans, a North Carolina native, relocated her horse to Maryland at her own expense to continue competing with the horse. Spending about two hours of time with her horse has helped Evans cope physically and mentally as she begins her military career.
