Thenumber of Seminole Indians in Florida is variously estimated asfrom 250 to 350, and it is possible they may exceed that of the Okeechobee Indians are descendants of the Creeksor Muskogees, as the language spoken there seems to be of that 33 HUNTING AND FISHING IN FLORIDA. tribe. The language spoken by the Miami Indians is somewhatdifferent. The chief seat of government is located at Fish Eating Creek, andat this camp resides Hospataki and Tustanugge, who are chiefs ofnote, although, as I understand it, there has been no regularlyrecognized head chief among the Seminole Indians since the deathof Tiger Tail.
