Despite its rough journey, this pipereached its destination in perfect condition,and a report fifteen years after it was laiddown showed that it was working as per-fectly as when the water was first turned only damage the pipe sustained in thatperiod was when it was twice cut duringrevolutions, but a length or two of new pipesoon made the whole as good as new.
