Down at the rivers edge is the Sputterer,which discharges at intervals directly into the the opposite bank is the Chinaman Geyser, whichwas named in memory of that Oriental who established alaundry here, put in the clothes and soap, and was anni-hilated, so the story goes, by the violent eruption which en-sued. It is a remarkable fact that a bar or two of soapwill cause practically any geyser to play within a fewminutes.
