Army Pfc. Joseph Thury, an unmanned aerial system maintainer with Company D, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Mountain Division deployed to Al Asad, Iraq, in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, conducts a communications check with UAS operators as he ensures safe take-off of the MQ-1C Gray Eagle in Al Asad, Iraq on April 1. Thury conducts more than twenty safety checks prior to each flight. CJTF-OIR is the global Coalition to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
