The neiiropore question resolves itself into this: What partof the sutura cerebralis anterior is to be called neuropore? Asthe suture extends from near the infundibulum to the pinealregion at least, there is a wide range of choice. However, thereis a point in the suture near its dorsal end where the separationof the ectoderm from the neural tube takes place later thanelsewhere. This may be regarded as the equivalent of theneuropore. The suture is the site of formation of the lami?iaterminalis (Chap. VIII).
