Rafael Botello Jimenez #204 from Spain finishing in fifth place at the 2021 Chicago Marathon. Over 35,000 runners competed in the Chicago Marathon on 20th October 2021. The previous year's race was cancelled due to health concerns for runners, spectators and volunteers. Registered participants had to provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results.
