These two goldfinches fight over food. Leeds, UK: THESE TWO goldfinches twist and turn in an intricate battle over food, somersaulting to win the prize. One image shows two goldfinches fighting over a morsel of food, one even flipping upside down to tackle its opponent. Goldfinches are around five inches long with a wing span of up to inches and weigh only 19 grams. They prefer to eat small seeds and plants but will also feed on insects when they are young. These images were taken by MOT tester and photographer Les Liddle (65) in Tong, Leeds using a Sony A1 camera. ?The goldfinches were squabbling over food,? said Les. ?I love the action and felt amazed after capturing this shot. ?The best camera you can get is the one you have with mediadrumimages/LesLiddle
