Moses Buffinton died Nov. 2, 1869,and his widow passed away Feb. 9, 1873. Darius Buffintox, son of Moses (3) andRuth Borden (Slade) Buffinton, was born May29, 1829, in Swansea. He was educated in thepublic schools, and attended the Friendsschool in Providence. As long as nis fatherlived he resided with him in Swansea and in1870 built his present home in Somerset, wherehe has since been successfully engaged at farm-ing. He was married Jan. 15, 1861, to JuliaA. Whitwell, born March 25, 1843, in Fall. Mr. Buliintonis a stockholder iu the Fall Eiver NationalBank, also in the Massasoit-Pocasset Bank, andwas at one time connected with the ShoveMills. In politics he is a Republican. He isa birthright member of the Society of Friends. LAWSON (Fall River family).
