Picture by Roger Bamber : 21 September 2013 : Steam Locomotive "Sans Pariel" built by Timothy Hackworth in Shildon, County Durham in 1829 for the Rainhill Trials using a large Flu boiler which proved to be deficient. The engine lost to George Stephensons "Rocket" which had a Multi-Tube boiler and won the trials. The locomotive is in The National Railway Museum 'Locomotion' at Shildon County Durham
