Proctor land-ed estate in the State of New York, residing in thecity of Carthage. (5) Mary, born in Ireland, marriedFrancis P. Ryan, who served as a soldier in the Civilwar, being a sergeant of Company H, 143rd P. V. I.,and took part in many important and hard-foughtbattles, including Antietam, Gettysburg, the Wilder-ness, etc. He died at Friendsville in March, 1870,leaving a wife and two children—Thomas andJames, both residents of that place.
