The Tower of Pisa pokes out from behind the Duomo in Piazza Del Duomo

In Pisa, Italy the most famous of all bell-towers; The Leaning Tower is a tourist attraction and historical miracle, hence the Tower being located in The Square of Miracles. A camponile with 7 bells the tower remains in its precarious position despite many well-intentioned (but mis-understood) attempts to straighten it. Because it began to lean almost as soon as building began, the middle sections are deliberately mis-aligned in one attempt to straighten it. Despite the lean it continues to be used as a bell-tower for its associated Duomo (Cathedral) and Baptistry.
