Cirrhosis of a human liver. Light micrograph of regenerating nodules, a typical feature of cirrhosis. The silver staining method for reticular fibres clearly shows the connective tissue septa surrounding the regenerating nodules and the general increase of connective tissue fibres (fibrosis).
