Brian Chellgren, SBD 2 vice commander, stand before a formation after successfully completing a combined unit inactivation and redesignation ceremony on Buckley Space Force Base, Colo., May 23, 2022. The inactivation of the 460th MSG and the redesignation of Buckley Garrison provide a flatter organizational structure with subordinate squadrons reporting directly to the SBD 2 commander in order to remain consistent with Space Force philosophies and direction.
