A smooth, well-definedgroove runs across the implement (as shown bythe dark shading) as though it were intended tobe fastened to a helve, although the groovewould afford good support for the thumb, ifthe implement were used only with the material is a coarse, impure, grayish 31 might be said to combine the qualities of a qo_iv knife, gimlet and bodkin.
