Very last tree, a birch, standing in a previously wooded area after deforestation. In the background you can see brown dead spruces after bark beetle infestation and long periods of drought 2019. All these trees will be felled later. The birch had to grow up fast and so high to reach the light because of the elder and higher spruces.
