Length two feet six inches. Eggs white. The several species constituting the group to which the Bean Goose belongs resemble each other very nearly in all respects. Inspected closely, they differ indeed quite enough to justify their distribution into distinct species; but the descriptions of their habits, given by various authors, present scarcely any characteristic features peculiar.
