This is a very distinct variety and an improve- ment, in habit and freedom of bloom, upon Beaute Poitevine. During the past summer, which was very hard on geraniums on account of extreme heat and surplus rainfall, this variety held its foliage per- fectly and produced double the number of blooms that were produced by Beaute Poitevine. Alphonse Riccard. Semi-double; color bright ver- milion scarlet; dwarf, vigorous habit; large trusses, 4 to 7% inches in diameter; floret large, sometimes exceeding 2 inches in diameter; the trusses are on strong foot stalks, and so freely produced as to nearly conceal the foliage; a constant bloomer, almost every joint producing a flower stem; we have a large, healthy and true stock. $ per 100 ; $10 00 per 1,000. Mme. J. Cibiel. Immense round, perfect flower, in enormous trusses; center bright aurora salmon, with white eye, and broad flesh-white border. Plant compact, fine grower and profuse bloomer.
