These names, withthose of OHara, Craig, Kirkpatrick, Neville, Morgan, Ross,were among the trusted fiiends of our Government, and theleading and influential families of Western Pennsylvania. TheHon. Henry M. Brackenridge, in his Recollections of theWest, speaks of the Butler connection as a noble race ofpeople, whose fame, we may here add, is not restricted tomother Cumberland or our great Commonwealth of Pennsyl-vania, but
