Queen Annapolisa the 83rd Congratulations to Alxys Chamberlain of Kingston, the 83rd Queen Annapolisa! Alxys Chamberlain, the 20-year-old daughter of Kelly and Brent Chamberlain, is completing her BA in English and Psychology and minoring in Law and Society at Dalhousie University. Alxys graduated from West Kings District High School in 2013, receiving the Faculty Award and other scholarships. Alxys served on the Student’s Council for four years and was President her graduating year. She proudly completed all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh program and attended the Legion Leadership Training Camp. Alxys enjoys music, sewing, reading and playing multiple sports and now coaches local girls soccer. Her employment with the Kingston Day Camp has sparked her interest in becoming a teacher. Alxys’ passion for volunteerism has taken her in many directions, including assisting with Relay for Life, a national law competition, and in Peru with MEDLIFE, on a medical mission in 2014. Alxys is excited to represent Kingston and give back to her community. The Village of Kingston is so very proud that she has been named Queen of this years festival!
