The headland in the Joseph Banks conservation park at Wave Point, with high views of the Coral Sea near Town 1770 and Bustard Bay in Queensland, Australia. It was in this area in May 1770 where Royal Navy Captain James Cook made a second landing to collect fresh water supplies for his crew on the HM Endeavour in May 1770. Joseph Banks, botanist, who accompanied Cook, collected 33 species from the surrounding area.
