Vintage photo of Argentinian boxer Luis Angel Firpo (1894 – 1960). Firpo, known as “The Wild Bull of the Pampas”, famously challenged champion Jack Dempsey for the world heavyweight title in a dramatic slugfest in 1923 in which he knocked / pushed Dempsey out of the ring in the first round before getting knocked out by Dempsey in the second round.
