Itis expected that this work will be completed shortly, when,in addition to enabling the company to utilize power fromany one or all of its hydraulic stations, a large saving inlabor and other charges will be efifected. During the year a contract was closed with the muni-cipality of St. Anne de Beaupre for street lighting for aperiod of 10 years, as also a similar contract with the townof Levis. The contract with the Levis County RailwayCompany was also renewed for a similar period. In addition to the railway, light and power depart-ments handled by the Quebec Railway, Light, Heat and. New Office Building of the Q. R., L., H. & P. Co., in of construction Power Company they also control the manufacture and dis-tribution of gas. New installations for the year show 522appliances of various kinds and 416 new meters. 18,644feet of new gas mains were laid, so the gas servicenow supplied to the citizens of Quebec compares favor-ably with that of the larger cities throughout the continent. ;\ line new office building is in course of building is shown herewith and it is expected thatit will be ready for occupancy very early in the new large part of this building will be used for companyoffices but in addition there will be a large amount ofspace for rental and it is understood that many .-ipplica-tions for offices have already been received.
