Urban view of shoppers and vendors at a craft market laid out on sheets in the middle of the walkway, Peru Street, Buenos Aires
Pedestrianised Peru Street runs north from Avenida Roca, crosses Avenue de Mayo and passes into the pedestriansed street of Calle Florida, in the busy central business district of Buenos Aires. Over a million people a day walk Florida. Street performers entertain shoppers in return for a small collection of money and a sale of sample CDs. Craft market stalls, laid out on sheets in the middle of the street, are a feature of Peru.
