Prostate cancer radiotherapy planning. Display showing the results of a volume study of a cancerous prostate gland. The display is used in planning the position and dose (on the grid) of each radioactive implant to be used in treatment. A volume study involves using scans to produce a three-dimensional display of the organ being studied. Here, the different coloured rings show dose strength. The procedure, known as brachytherapy, is a form of radiotherapy.
