Camp Lemonnier, DJIBOUTI (Feb. 7, 2017) Navy HM3 Robert Mestas, a special amphibious reconnaissance corpsman (SARC) with the Maritime Raid Force (MRF), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fast-ropes from a CH-53E Super Stallion during helicopter rope suspension technique training conducted near Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Feb. 7, 2017. Each platoon within the MRF is equipped with SARCs, who have the medical experience and qualifications to treat and sustain service members injured during missions.
