VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Virginia Beach Hurricane and Storm Damage Reduction project with its big beach performs as expected, knocking down the wave action and preventing large amounts of water from overtopping the seawall, protecting the infrastructure along the oceanfront here on Oct. 29, 2012.
