A hulless and beardless variety, grain much resembles wheat but is double the size; a two rowed variety. Stalks shorter than the ordinary, while heads are longer; distinguished for its sure cropping and enormous yielding properties. A distinct variety, having white, elvet like chaff; heads beardless. The stem, just below the head, when [green, is a beautiful blue bloom, which disappears as the wheat ripens, both A-heat and straw assuming a bright golden tint. The kernel is of the hard var- iety, similar to the Scotch Fife, but is far more productive and one of the Ibest Spring wheats for milling; entirely free from rust.
