Koumban village, Guinea, 2nd May 2015; This area is above the proposed level of the Fomi dam and will be taking in displaced people. Sona Sacko, 75, is married with 15 children (4 died) and her daughter Tenein Doumbouya, 35, married with 4 children, are Shea butter sellers. They have been doing this for many years. They like selling Shea butter because it’s profitable. “This Shea butter in our hand is about Gnf. Preparing Shea butter is my speciality. I have taught many women how to prepare Shea butter.” I have heard about the dam and I also know that that we’ll be receiving displaced people. We’re happy about it and they’ll be welcome because we’re the same family. We don’t have very important women association and I hope if they come we’ll get together and be stronger.”
