Oct. 18, 2014 - Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Slogans against a new hotel and demands for a seniors residence painted on the wall guarding the area where a new hotel is projected. One hundred residents took to the streets in Barcelona to protest a new hotel project in the old part of the city. Barcelona is taking several neighborhood protests against the growing tourism massification. In this case the protest is against the hotel projected at Rec Comtal zone, according to neighborhood sources over ten new hotels are planned in the area.
