The High Fens are an upland area in the province of Liège, in Belgium and nearby parts of Germany, between the Ardennes and the Eifel highlands. The High Fens consist mainly of moorland and forest. It is a very rainy (1500-1700 mm per year) and swampy region. Narcissus is the botanic name for a genus of mainly hardy, mostly spring-flowering, bulbs in the Amaryllis family native to Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
