British army staff officers outside the Headquaters of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 11th Northern Division stationed in Ismailia along the Suez Canal, Egypt. December 1915. The infantry division heavily involved in the Gallipoli Campaign and was evacuated in Decemeber 1915 to Eygpt, where it was stationed to guard the Suez Canal. The officer wearing the peaked cap on the far left is believed to be Lieutenant-General Edward Fanshawe, the commanding Officer.
