The Dismantled South Park Bridge on the Duwamish River - South Park Neighborhood - Seattle, Washington


The South Park Bridge was a double-leaf bascule bridge connecting South Park's main business district to Seattle, near Boeing Field. The bridge was completed in 1931 and closed permanently on June 30, 2010 due to its deterioration. Crews removed the bridges two bascule leaves between August 31-September 2, 2010.
