It isfound in May and July,but is not very abun-dant. The larva is ofa colour resemblingbark; it is grey, withpaler and darker pro-minences. It is foundin June and September on sloe, oak, birch, rose & u. Pcricallia syriiigaria, the Beauty,has olive-grey wings, varied with violet-grey.
