1st Lt. Duckstein, , was a decorated observer in the 1st Aero Squadron during World War I. On November 1, 1918, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his exceptional conduct and work as an observer. Photographer St. Coombs captured this image on April 22, 1919.
