A SMALL ILLINOIS HOUSE. , I am about to build a small green- house, 21x25, for the purpose of grow- ing bedding plants. The house will run north and south. The south end will be glass and there will be three feet of glass in the sides. The height to the ridge will be about thirteen feet. There will be three benches. Please give me Bome idea of how to pipe the house so as to maintain a temperature of 65 de- grees in this Illinois climate. J. G. W. To heat the house described, I would run two 21^-inch flow pipes about two feet under the ridge, to the farther end of the house, where they should drop down and each of them should feed a coil of six 2-inch pipes, running from the middle of the south end to the cor- ners of the house and then along the sides back to the boiler. By using a generator it would be possible to sup- ply both of the coils with one 2i^-inch flow pipe, but I would not make any other change. BOILEE CAPACITY UNCERTAIN. Please let me know how much green- house area can be heat
