Mite on lynx spider. Parasitic mite (family Acari, orange) feeding on a lynx spider (family Oxyopidae). Mites are tiny arachnids, many of which are parasites of both plants and animals. Most species of lynx spider don't use webs but spend their lives hunting prey on plants. They do not tend to be aggressive unless defending their eggs.
