The comparative shortness of the specimen, the small size of the distal extremity, and the narrow intercondylar gorge (fig. 34) at once serve to distinguish this bone from Fig. Phasiamis alius.— Distal extremity of the left tibio-tarsus; from the Upper Miocene of CEningen. \. Pavo. From Tetrao it is distinguished by the deeper intercondylar gorge, and the greater length and horizontal position of the extensor bridge, which is crushed down upon the shaft.
