Helmsley Town Centre North Yorkshire UK

Helmsley is a traditional market town in the civil parish of Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. It is the only town within the North York Moors National Park. This quintessentially English market town has a vibrant market square with independent specialist shops. With the old English name of Elmeslac, Helmsley predates the Domesday Book. Its first settlement was around 3,000 BC.
