The small, swift, clean cut river craft ply the mazes of the lower riverfrom Bath, where connection is made with the Maine Central trains, to Boothbay and its outlying islands and tothe very mouth of theKennebec itself, wherestands Seguin, grim sen-tinel of the deep, andold Fort Popham, obso-lete as a coast defense,but great in historicalvalue. Sailors call the neigh-borhood of Seguin.
