Belts of machine gun ammunition are staged at a live-fire range for Marines with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during a 1st Marine Division School machine gunners course aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 6, 2014. The range was part of an eight-day machine gunners course. During the course, Marines learned the characteristics and the effective implementation of four weapon systems.
