(VII) Theron, son of Isaac (2) born at \\^inchester, Connecticut. March20, 1809, died there January 20, 1873. Hewas educated in the public schools of hisnative town. He became associated with hisfather in the general merchandise and realestate business. He dealt extensively in stock,buying and selling cattle for many years. Hewas also a wholesale cheese dealer, buying oldEnglish cheese and selling it in New York,Boston, Baltimore and He hadalso a considerable business in lumber. Hewas active, energetic and shrewd, and con-tinued in active charge of his varied and ex-tensive interests to the time of his death. In. CONNECTICUT 1437 politics he was a Democrat up to the Lincolnadministration, afterward a Republican, andfor many years he held the otftce of justice ofthe peace. He was an able and fearless magis-trate. He served the town also as selectman,and in 1849 was representative to the generalassembly of the state. When the centennialof the town was celebrated he was chairmanof the committee in charge and was an im-portant factor in making the occasion religion he was a Congregationalist. Hemarried, July 7, 1841, Maria R. Munsill, bornat Torrington, April 26, 1819, died February26, 1898, daughter of Levi and Rachel Alun-sill. Children: i. Edward H., born July 31,1842, member of the firm of Bronson Broth-ers. 2. Henry T., born January 31, 1845, ^^i^dNovember 25, 1866. 3. Wilbur, born June 9,1848, died January 19, 190
