The château at Belvès in the Dordogne region of south west France dates from the 14th century. Unusually it is within the town rather than outside.

The Château de Belvès dates from the 14th century. It was enlarged during the 19th century. It is actually part of the small market town of Bèlves in the Perigord Noir region of Dordogne rather than being seperate from the toiwn as is often the case. It is a listed French Historic Monument.
