A Chinese rhinoceros horn goblet, 19th century, Heavy, slightly hollow bowl, mounted on a short stem with a slightly spreading base. The rim and the edge of the base somewhat knocked with minor flaws in places. Diameter of the bowl cm, height cm, weight g. Elegant, unadorned rhinoceros goblets are known to originate particularly from the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644). Cf.
