The average weight of the melons is from twenty-jive to thirty-five pounds each—a, size rarely attained by any other extra early melon under favorable conditions. The rind is tough, making it a valuable variety for shipping; the outer color is a uni- form medium green; the seeds are white; the flesh is bright red and very sweet.
