Since 1992, 4300 people have undergone surgery under hypnosis and a light sedative. This technique reduces the amount of traditional anesthesia by five times and considerably reduces the side effects linked to anesthesia. This method also reduces the associated costs. Dr. Faymonville observes cerebral scan of mechanisms involved when a patient is under hypnosis.
