Boudica, queen of the English tribe known as the Iceni
Boudica, also spelled Boudicca and Boadicea, led her people, the Iceni, and others in a rebellion against their Roman overlords in 60 or 61. Boudicca and the British lost the battle, but Boudica took poison rather than be held captive.
