Fryer Hill was part of Leadville, in Colorado, which was known as the most famous mining town in the world.


The Amie Mine is situated on the summit of Fryer Hill (pictured here). It was discovered in the summer of 1879, and soon after the Amie Consolidation Mining Company was organized, with capital stock of five million dollars. Within six months, the yield amounted to half a million dollars. The ores mined were treated by smelting without roasting. Fryer Hill was part of Leadville, which was known as the most famous mining town in the world. It is located in Colorado. And, the metals produced were lead, silver, gold, and ore.
