This small stream called Bear Wallow Branch runs through the Elkmont area in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and eventually into the Little River further down stream. Elkmont is a village originally built as a logging village for workers in the logging industry. Afterwards, it became a popular vacation spot for members of a philanthropic group called the Appalachian Club. Recently the area is in disrepair but is being refurbished for campground use.
